Benny stewards Urban Ventures’s programming geared towards helping secondary youth explore post-secondary options, including supporting the Act Six team. He brings a wealth of leadership experience, a passion for youth development and innovation to the role. Benny graduated from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri where he majored in Sociology and focused on communications and leadership.
As the Act Six Program Manager Miriam oversees all functions of the program in the Twin Cities. Bringing a highly relational leadership style, she is passionate about ensuring each scholar’s long-term academic and personal success. Miriam attended Augsburg University where she studied Communications, Studio Art, and Youth and Family Ministry.
Destyn Land was born in the great city of Saint Paul, Minnesota and graduated from St. Paul Como Park Senior High School. He was apart of the first Act Six cadre of Augsburg where he graduated with an English degree (with concentrations in Literature, Language and Theory). Destyn is committed to developing youth in the community and advocating for social change through writing.
As Vice President of Youth & Family Services, Marquise is responsible for overseeing all of Urban Venture’s youth and family programs, including Act Six. He provides strategic leadership and additional support for the program. Marquise earned a B.A at Crown College.
